NIE Networks Sub-Station capacity upgrade

NIE Networks Sub-Station capacity upgrade
Site of the former Belfast Corporation Knock tram depot on the Upper Newtownards road, Morrow have been assisting NIE Networks in its upgrade of what now is the Knock 110KV electricity sub-station.
This project is part of a wider programme of works being carried out by NIE Networks to increase capacity at a number of electricty sub-stations throughout the greater Belfast area due to increased demand from activities such as EV charging.
Under direct instruction, Morrow is fulfilling all excavation, cabling and re-instatement within a confined area, operating no more than two squads at any one time.
This 4-month project requires LWC certification, allowing Morrow to be the primary keyholder throughout the duration of works before signing off and handing over to our client.
